Tampa Bay Area Institutions Committee (TBAIC ) is a committee of District 2, Area 15.
Tradition Five states “Each group has but one primary purpose to carry its message to the alcoholic who still suffers.” TBAIC volunteers take AA meetings into facilities to share their message of our experience, strength, and hope. The meetings are conducted in Detox and , Rehab centers, jails and prisons by the request of each facility.
TBAIC provides literature to individuals participants who are serious about their recovery.
As a self-supporting committee, TBAIC relies on contributions through the Pink Can campaign and donations from various fund-raising activities. These monies allow TBAIC to purchase the literature for distribution to our fellow alcoholics.
The Bridging the Gap program is to assist those clients; who wish to do so, make the transition from treatment to the AA program. We provide a toll free number for the client to call if they need a ride.
